Image by @beverlyjoubert. A lion cub crosses a shallow channel in the Selinda Reserve in Botswana. Temperatures have been extreme and the summer rains are yet to fall properly here. The water is drying rapidly. However, predators usually fare quite well in times of water stress as their prey tends to congregate near to the remaining pools. The Selinda prides certainly are thriving and their numbers increasing. Great news in a world where lions populations are in decline. #bigcats #botswana #causeanuproar #thisismytrophy
